I’ve read many books that I could “relate” to. This is the first book, as a Black woman, I felt connected to. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a black power book. It’s about love, joy, pain, loss, childhood, and adulthood problems. I laughed, cried, remembered what is was like to have young love. This book stirred so many emotions I had to read it in increments! So well written. I have been re-reading for days. Definitely recommend! For the young girl and the fierce woman in you!
